SERVICES & RATES

Both Shaun and Carla like to use various massage techniques and tools throughout each massage treatment. If you really like a certain type of massage tool or technique, please let them know, and they will be happy to incorporate it into your customized session. We want each appointment to provide you with the best relief possible.

Here are the therapies we practice:

Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger Point Therapy

This treatment refers to the treatment of myofascial trigger points that are found in muscle or fascia. They can be found almost anywhere on the body and are one of the most common causes of musculoskeletal pain also known as myofascial pain.

Scaping therapy

Scraping Therapy

Muscle scraping has been used as an effective therapy for thousands of years. Scraping therapy stimulates multiple mechanisms to decrease pain and promote recovery. It helps restore proper muscle function, promotes pain suppression, increases blood flow, promotes recovery after exercise, increases range of motion, and has anti-inflammatory effects. Our scraping tools are made of stainless steel and are called Rock Blades. We use them in a variety of myofascial release techniques.

Cranial sacral therapy

Cranial Sacral Therapy (CST)

Craniosacral therapy is a gentle hands-on technique that uses a light touch to examine membranes and movement of the fluids in and around the central nervous system. Relieving tension in the central nervous system promotes a feeling of well-being by eliminating pain and boosting health and immunity. This is a noninvasive form of bodywork that addresses the bones of the head, spinal column and sacrum.

Manual lymphatic drainage

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)

Lymphatic drainage massage, also known as manual lymphatic drainage, relieves swelling that happens when medical treatment or illness blocks your lymphatic system. Lymphatic drainage massage involves gently manipulating specific areas of your body to help lymph move to an area with working lymph vessels.

Kinesiology taping

Kinesiology Taping

Taping can be a great thing to try for painful or swollen joints. It can decrease pain, reduce swelling and bruising, and it provides functional support while allowing full range of movement. We only use Rock Tape for our kinesiology taping techniques. It is a stretchable, water resistant, latex-free material that is 97% cotton and 3% nylon.

Cupping therapy

Cupping Therapy

Cupping is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on the skin to create suction. It is commonly used to help reduce pain and  inflammation, increase lymph circulation, promote mobility and range of motion, minimize painful trigger points and release fascial adhesions. In our office we use silicone cups for the body and glass facial cups. The cups can be placed on the skin and left there for a few minutes, or used with oil in a gliding motion on the body.

Reflexology Therapy

Reflexology

Reflexology is the application of pressure to specific points and areas on the feet, hands or ears that are believed to correspond to different organs and body systems. Reflexology may help address conditions such as anxiety, asthma, headaches, kidney function and sinusitis.

Hot Stone Massage

Hot Stone Massage

This is an excellent tool for dissolving knots in muscles that have formed over time. It is an excellent way to relieve muscle tension and pain, reduce stress and anxiety, and promote sleep.

Essential oils

Essential Oils

We use only high quality Doterra and Plant Therapy brand essential oils. Essential oils have true therapeutic benefit. These are often diffused in our home or are applied topically to the skin during the massage.
